May1-21, 2021

The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Online Module on the OSPI Learn Server will be unavailable from May 1 to May 21, while the courses are being updated. All current user data will be maintained during the update, so you will be able to log back in with your existing username and password without losing track of your current progress in the courses. Note that we will be stopping the use of the Public forum reflection questions as of May 1, although the reflection questions will still available to be downloaded and used off-line.

There are seven segments of the social emotional online module Social Emotional Learning in Washington State Schools: Building Foundations and Strategies. The intent of the module is to support teacher, administrator, and school staff understanding of what social emotional learning (SEL) is and its importance, as well as to explain how to implement and integrate SEL into their respective contexts in a culturally responsive way.

This first segment is called Introduction to Social Emotional Learning. Although you may access the other segments of the module, our recommendation is to complete each segment in sequence as the content will build upon itself. Once you have set up an account on this Moodle server, you can self-enroll in each module as you are ready to do so.
